We will also hear from a variety of men and women in youth ministry - from young interns through to those who have invested in youth for decades. Vocational youth ministry is a beautiful calling - how can you tell if God might be inviting YOU to join the club?

What does it look like to Surrender your Giftings and Strengths for God's Purposes in your World? As an actor, I work on a lot of secular productions. I don't go around praying and laying hands on people. BUT, I do pray. I pray that the director gets their 'shot' and that the day runs smoothly. I often leave a set and am able to add people to my prayer list who shared something about their personal life. And, of course, I pray for God's ability to portray the character I've been hired to portray. Let's have fun and explore ways we can use our giftings and strengths for God's purpose. During this breakout, we will discuss what it looks like to start and develop an established Christian fellowship group in your high school. You are not alone in this!

What if your faith was something people could see, not just something you talk about? In this breakout, we’ll explore how to live out your relationship with Jesus in your school, friend group, and community in a way that stands out (for the right reasons). You’ll learn simple, real-life ways to show Jesus’ love so that the people around you can’t help but notice something different—in the best way possible.

You don’t have to look far in the Bible to see that Jesus continually chose the messy places. He entered into unlikely places to be present with people who were struggling, who were outcasts, and who were considered different. He didn’t shy away from the hard or complex places, he didn’t avoid those who were struggling or sick, he didn’t stick in the places where he was comfortable. And for us today, we often encounter Jesus in a new and special way when we enter into the world, into the messy or uncomfortable, and come close to Jesus as we love his people. Come hear stories of encountering Jesus in the world and learn more about how Jesus’ life gives us a blueprint of how to live out Biblical justice that is rooted, modeled, and embodied by Jesus and direct reflection of God’s own heart.
